Two Cells - Two Channels!

COMBO Rx

Our new circuit board allows us to have the Z Tron, infra red proportional, three channel receiver with built in Esc on the same circuit board as the voltage booster used to power the electronics. This makes the system more robust while only adding about 0.2g to the weight.

If you have one of our DC/DC voltage converters and an IRRXFA Rx you can just buy the board and re-use your old parts or your can have a board and kit of parts or one of us will make the Combo for you.

We now have two Combos, one designed and made by Dr Chris and the other by Graham. They both use the same parts but Grahams is a tad smaller. Z Tron now has one very similar to Graham's.

They both use the same dc/dc converter which goes down to a battery voltage of 0.7v and runs at about 75% efficiency. The power MOSFET transistor for the speed controller handles a maximum of 1 Amp.
The boards have the our latest suppression capacitors. Each Combo is supplied with two sensors which can be remote mounted from the board, via fine enamelled copper wires.

The Combo, two sensors, wires and one 200 Ohm actuator weigh about 3.5g and are designed for two cell, KP00 powered 25g models.

Dr Chris's CF-1
Is about 16mm x 28mm and has the voltage booster at one end, so you could buy the board and cut it in half if you just want the dc/dc part.

This is two boards back to back so it is really small - small enough to fit in tiny 13" span bipes.
Measures 11mm x 11mm x 7mm thick. Technically the same as the Mk1 but much more difficult to make so he will do a complete one for £40 if you are building a super fine little flyer !

CF3 - NEW!
Dr Chris has successfully flown on one cell using a Cloud 9 pager motor, gears and KP folding prop.
He powers the flight motor from a special high power voltage booster. He has now made a complete reviever and booster for this purpose, can only be used with the pager motor. Costs about £45 assembeld.

Now Sergio at Z Tron has done one too, it is called the ZRXFAD
